Billy W Shores

Bill received a combined Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) and Masters of Public Management degree from the University of Alberta in 1986. He received a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from the University of Alberta in 1981. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1988. Bill was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2006.

Bill's main areas of practice are administrative and municipal law.  This includes representing a number of professional governing bodies, agricultural marketing boards, and other regulatory agencies.  Bill's municipal law practice involves representing municipalities on a broad range of issues including annexations, land use issues and assessment issues.  Bill also represents clients in matters of general civil litigation, including commercial disputes.

He has appeared in all levels of Court in the Province of Alberta and before the Supreme Court of Canada.  Bill's extensive courtroom experience assists him in providing decisive, practical advice to his clients.

Bill is an avid soccer coach and kayaker.
